Peak Season Without the Stress

Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, and back-to-school. Peak periods can make or break an ecommerce business. If your logistics partner cannot scale fast enough, orders pile up, delivery windows blow out, and customers find someone else. It only takes one bad peak to lose them permanently.

We plan ahead with every client. Before each peak period, we work through your volume forecasts, stock levels, staffing plans, and carrier pre-bookings. When peak hits, we are already set up. Your orders go out on time, your customers stay happy, and you focus on your marketing rather than chasing our warehouse team.

Ready for Your Busiest Season

We plan peak capacity months in advance so you are never caught short when volume spikes.

Peak Volume Planning

We review your historical data and forward forecasts to plan staffing, storage space, and carrier capacity well before your peak period begins.

Flexible Capacity

Our facilities across Auckland, Tauranga, and Christchurch give us the flexibility to absorb significant volume spikes without compromising pick accuracy or despatch times.

01 Advance Planning Meetings

We schedule a dedicated peak planning session with every client at least 8 to 12 weeks before their expected peak. We review your previous year’s data, your forward stock build plan, any new product lines, and your carrier commitments. The output is a written peak plan that covers staffing, space, inbound scheduling, and cut-off dates.

We work with you to identify your top-selling SKUs before peak and make sure they are pre-positioned in your most accessible pick faces before volume spikes. This cuts pick time significantly during your busiest days and reduces the risk of stockouts on your fastest-moving lines.

During peak periods, NZ carrier capacity is constrained. We pre-book freight capacity with our carrier partners well in advance based on your forecast. This means your parcels have allocated capacity rather than competing for space on trucks that are already full.

Our Auckland operation has the ability to add pick and pack staff during peak periods with minimal lead time. We manage our own surge staffing roster, so when your volume doubles in the week before Christmas, we already have the team on the floor to handle it without affecting your despatch times.

After every peak period we conduct a formal debrief with each client. We review what went well, what could be improved, carrier performance, accuracy rates, and any customer complaints related to fulfilment. This review feeds directly into the planning for your next peak so we get better every year.

How far in advance should I plan for peak season?

We recommend starting peak season planning at least 8 to 12 weeks before your expected peak. This gives us enough lead time to arrange additional staffing, pre-book carrier capacity, and coordinate your inbound stock schedule.

Yes. We have successfully managed significant volume increases for BFCM and Christmas across multiple clients simultaneously. The key is advance planning. Contact us as early as possible so we can allocate the right resources for your peak.

We are transparent about any peak period adjustments to pricing. If your volume significantly exceeds your forecast, there may be a surcharge during the peak window. We discuss this during planning so there are no surprises on your invoice.
